There are some senior portrait sessions that feel effortlessly beautiful, and Skyler's evening at Garland Ranch in Carmel Valley was exactly that.
Although the day brought a chill to the air, the landscape could not have been more stunning. Wildflowers were in full bloom, the river sparkled in the late afternoon light, and the golden sun cast a warm glow across the rolling fields. Every corner of Garland Ranch provided a breathtaking backdrop that perfectly complemented Skyler's natural beauty.
Some senior sessions are especially meaningful, and Gabby's was one of them. As a graduate of Salinas High School and a proud Cowboys cheerleader, it was such an honor to celebrate this exciting milestone with her. Having known Gabby, I felt incredibly fortunate to capture this special season of her life and all the confidence, grace, and joy that make her uniquely herself.
There are few places in California as breathtaking as Big Sur, and for Marissa’s senior portrait session, the dramatic coastline provided the perfect backdrop to celebrate the end of an incredible high school journey.
We began the evening along the rugged ocean cliffs, where the golden-hour sunlight cast a warm glow across the landscape. Wearing a beautiful white dress, she effortlessly combined elegance and youthful charm as the waves crashed below and the sun illuminated every moment. The natural beauty of Big Sur created a timeless setting that felt both adventurous and sophisticated.
Y’all … finding favorite photos from this session to make a blog post had me tearing up. It brought to my attention how long it has been since my girls graduated and started their grown up years. Seeing these photos of my sweet Ava has me reminiscing and missing the days with them.
Samantha’s senior portrait session was extra special in more ways than one. Recently relocated to Texas, she and her mom made the trip back to California’s beautiful Central Coast—a place filled with memories, familiarity, and the perfect backdrop for such a meaningful milestone. I felt incredibly honored to be the one to capture this moment for them.
